How do I add animated captions in Premiere Pro?
Export your sequence, upload it to flysub and generate the captions. Pick a style, adjust the words, then export the subtitles alone as a transparent ProRes 4444 .MOV. In Premiere Pro, place that file on a video track above your edit, at the start of the sequence: the captions play over your footage.
Does the MOV keep its transparency in Premiere Pro?
Yes: ProRes 4444 carries an alpha channel, so only the captions show over your video.
Does it work with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut?
Yes, the same transparent MOV works in DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro and any editor that reads ProRes 4444.
Is the transparent export included in the free plan?
No: the transparent MOV export is included in the paid plans (Creator, Pro, Studio). The free trial lets you test with 3 videos exported in MP4, with a watermark.
Can I export an SRT file for Premiere Pro?
Not yet. flysub exports animated captions as a transparent MOV, or burned into an MP4.
What is the maximum length per video?
3 min on the free trial, 3 min on Creator, 5 min on Pro and 15 min on Studio.
Which languages are supported?
Eight languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch and Arabic, plus automatic detection. The language you pick is enforced at transcription for maximum reliability.
